 LONG WAY TO MON CENTRE

Our center location is rather far from central city of Banda Aceh; it is located precisely at Mesjid Raya sub district, Greater Aceh District. Adista calls us Mon Center due to the location of the center at Meunasah Mon. Our center location is close to a river and near the jungle; it is good, isn’t it?

 

Sometimes after playing in the center, we go to swim in the river or look for birds. Hey! We enjoy it so much that it makes us forgot to return home. When we come to the center, the activity we like best is making kites or playing soccer especially when the rain falls. Usually the land is getting muddy and it makes us becoming more passionate.

 

Nowadays, there is something that is disturbing us; due their situation and because they feel abandoned, some people show bad behaviors which are socially against the norms and Acehnese custom. We are really afraid of being influenced by such behaviors. Luckily, our animators always try to protect us from those negative examples; the animators encourage us to come and play in the center so that we can stay away and avoid these negative behaviors’ influences.

 

In the afternoon, we always go to a small mosque that is located near the center; there we read Koran, and if the center is still opened we will go back to play there after.

 

 

JALAN PANJANG KE CENTER MON

Letak center kami agak jauh dari pusat kota Banda Aceh, tepatnya berlokasi di kecamatan Mesjid Raya kabupaten Aceh Besar. Adista menyebut kami center Mon karena terletak di desa meunasah Mon. Lokasi center kami dekat dengan sungai dan hutan ,bagus kan?

 

 

Kadang –kadang setelah main di center kami mandi di sungai atau mencari burung-burung. Wah! Kalau sudah begini kami jadi lupa pulang. Setiap pergi bermain ke Center, biasanya kami paling suka buat layangan atau main sepak bola, apalagi kalau saat hujan turun. Biasanya tanah akan becek dan itu menambah keasyikan kami.

 

Akhir-akhir ini ada sesuatu yang menggangu kami di sini, karena situasi mereka dan karena mereka merasa diabaikan, sejumlah orang memperlihatkan perangai buruk yang bertentangan dengan norma dan adat istiadat Aceh. Kami sangat takut terpengaruh oleh perangai semacam itu, para animator selalu mendorong agar kami datang dan bermain ke center sehingga kami bisa menghindar dan mencegah pengaruh perilaku buruk tersebut.

 

Petang hari, kami selalu pergi ke Mushalla yang lokasi dekat center, disana kami mengaji dan kalau center masih buka kami kembali untuk bermain ke sana sesudah nya.
