Adista is a local NGO based in Banda Aceh that is running 6 centers. Each center has been built on the model of a traditional aceh house and welcome kids 5 days a week to offer them various activities.
1) Psycho-social support: free games, counselling towards children and families observation. Targets: stabilize children soul composure while express feeling and anxiety, create an autonomous and mental health generation
2) School aid: use the concept “play while study” with specific games, library, support for school home work, religious activities on Friday afternoon like Arabic caligraphy. Targets: support informal education and motivate children to study.
3) Traditional expression: dance, music, song, poetry, drama. Targets: improving a love feeling for acehnese tradition of arts and culture.
4 ) Children activities: handicraft, painting, carves, collective sport. Targets: improve children creativity, give interest to arts.
5) Additional activities: collective birthdays parties, meetings with communities on a regular basis, collaboration with school teachers and local NGO, children socialization.
